This
is the essential tool for finishing off projects done on Beadalon
or other nylon-coated cable stringing products with crimp
tubes. The crimping pliers have two "stations" - one for crimping,
and one for smoothing or re-shaping. First string your beadalon
through your crimp tube, through your clasp, and back through your
crimp tube, forming a loop through your clasp. When that loop is
exactly the size you want (not too tight or the clasp can't move
and not too loose or it's not pretty), crimp the tube with the first
station - the one that looks like a kidney bean. Then simply turn
the crimp tube ninety degrees and use the smoothing station to re-shape
it so you have a beautiful finished piece. These pliers create a
hold many times stronger than simply smashing your crimp with chain
nose or flat nose pliers. These pliers are also used to build wire
cages (see All Wired Up! for how to
do that).
Crimp Forming Pliers are included in the Complete
Toolkit!
